Hauns Froehlingsdorf's primary site is in Ramsey, MN

Hauns has been trying to attract purple martins to his location for 4 years now.
An avid bird watcher since he was 8 years old, Hauns has recently taken an interest in the preservation of the Purple Martin.

His mentors in this hobby include Ron Seekamp, Jeff Blair, Kelly Applegate, Tony Lau several folks on the PMCA's website and the Purple Martin Clubhouse.

They have had several visiting martins to their primary site for 4 years now.

The City of Ramsey funded this T-14 which was assembled by Hauns and Mark Riverblood from the City of Ramsey

Several people and kids in the neighborhood were involved in the assembly and installation at this site!

They have had several martins visit this site, however initial vandalism attempts the first year prevented the visiting martins from staying.

Hosting a site at a remote location can be very rewarding but careful thought and planning need to be considered to make it successful!
